It's safe to say there's certainly no shortage of thornback rays being caught currently in the estuary of the River Shannon in which anglers Robert Moran and friend proved during a recent outing fishing from a small private boat.
Armed with mackerel and squid baits neatly presented on a running ledger rig the pair cleaned up during the short session.
There are also reports of Tope being caught further out the Estuary so exciting times for the anglers in the area!
